Description
"Love your neighbor as yourself; but don't take down the fence."
~ Carl Sandburg
Near the coast in northern California is a road that is a shortcut from the main highway to Bodega Bay. It climbs quickly up and winds around the tops of the hills very precariously. At the top of the road, as it winds around the hills, sometimes with nothing more than a ribbon of a blacktop at the crest, one can usually see fog rolling in from the ocean. This fence disappeared down the hillside, and could be seen covering land for as far as the eye could see. Much of this country is "Happy Cows" country, especially when it is green from the winter rains. In this photograph, the summer heat has parched the grasses, leaving everything brown.

I really love this, the scene never fails to draw me into it, nature at its most simplistic time and the fence seems to capture it all, love it!!!
